    Default update

I installed the update and havent had any issues at startup. however, the previous poster is exactly right. the exact same issue. screen will flicker ad a faint isilo logo will appear. there is nothing that you can do except a hard reset. i rated this app 3 stars simply because of this issue! fix it it sill be 4 stars. add notations and highlight and you will see a 5 star app from me! keep up the great work isilo folks.

jmb was correct. it is when i start the app that it freezes. if you start the app and get to see your documents, all is fine. if you start isilo and get the flicker and black screen, nothing to do but a hard reset.

    Default an interesting hypothesis

okay, since I have installed the new update, isilo has been launching correctly.

the only difference that I can see here is that there are the manual and display sample put back into my document list.

could it be that removing these files somehow breaks how it starts up?????

    Arrow Investigating

We are investigating the sluggishness with webOS 3.0.4. We recommend that if you have not yet updated to 3.0.4, that you not do so yet.

    Default

My touchpad was automatically updated to 3.04. iSilo was MAD SLOW at 3.02, and now it's simply not usable.
Disabling table, setting fonts...doesn't help at all. I bought ipad, Android and WebOS version. WebOS is the worst.

iPad version is super fast and stable.
Android version is a little slow and force close sometimes.
WebOS version is even worse than Alpha Android CM7 on Touchpad. The lag and bug are just ridiculous.
It's the only app that will freeze my touchpad and once locked up my mounted internal storage. It's almost like you guys throw out an alpha software just to get some money back as HP killing WebOS.

I don't mind paying for all 3 versions of iSilo. They are not cheap at all but seriously at least make it functional. I have been using isilo since the palm pilot days and I can say that the whole isilo/pdb experience is still stuck in 10+ years ago. I hate it when people publish stuffs in pdb and I can't wait too see pdb format dies in hell and people move to epub/mobi.

Unhappy rotation lock bug alive and well on TouchPad

With a document open in portrait mode, we selected "Turn on Rotation Lock". The content remains in portrait orientation and works without issue. Is there something we're missing?
I thought this bug was cured by the webOS update, but it just manifested again. The reason for my missing it was the same as your inability to reproduce it. It didn't show up until I used a hyperlink while having the rotation locked.

After locking the rotation in portrait, use a hyperlink to another book and that is when the bug shows up (it may not even require that you tilt the device; just following the link seems to cause the strange behavior where the top two thirds is trying to display in landscape and the bottom third is showing the book you came from).

    Arrow Still unable to reproduce

We tried the steps you provided and were not able to reproduce the problem with either webOS 3.0.2 or webOS 3.0.4.

Would you be able to possibly provide a video of the issue happening? Perhaps it might give some additional clues.

    Default landscape/portrait splitscreen bug

OK. I finally was able to figure out the steps that are repeatable to see the landscape/portrait bug. It doesn't have anything to do with the Rotation Lock, but happens without it.

I'm using two books where one has hyperlinks to the other (the two I sent you a while back should work; a book by LSM and their RcV Bible).

Starting from the book the links go to (the Bible), view the book in landscape.
Change to the other book by closing this one and opening the other (still holding the device in landscape).
    Turn the device to Portrait.
Click on a hyperlink to the first book (the Bible).
It will show in the top 2/3 of the screen, going off the screen as if it's trying to show landscape, with the bottom 1/3 still showing the other book.
Now, even if you go back to the other book with the back button, it will still show the same split screen.

(BTW: if you reverse all the references to portrait and landscape in these steps, it will do the same thing, with the portrait view taking up the left 2/3 of the screen and the right 1/3 showing in landscape).

Usually, you can just rotate the screen to the other orientation and back again and it will show correctly.
But sometimes it will just turn gray and won't display at all when you rotate it.
