Annotation not work any more on BB Storm

When I first read about annotations I began using them and they worked. Now they have stopped working altogether. When I annotate something I do not get the color displayed, and I cannot tell if the annotation even gets added to the file. I have version 5.24 on a BB Storm.

Any help?

It may be that the annotations file may be corrupted. How does the list of annotations for the document look through Menu/Edit/Annotations?

They appeared normal except there was a gap where I had removed one annotation. I then tried removing all of them in hope that it would begin to work but no help there.

I went to another document and tried annotating a single word and it appears to be working.

It sounds like the annotations file may have gotten corrupted. With the document open, go to Menu/Edit/Annotation Settings and then click Disassociate File. After doing that, try adding an annotation again.

That appears to have worked. How often can I expect this to happen? Also how many annotations in a single document am I allowed?
