Wrong characters conversion in Messages
Hi there
I am trying to convert HTML document using iSiloX for Windows and iSiloXC for Linux. I have encontered strange conversion issue with Messages.
The source file is HTML with specified encoding Windows-1250. The .ixl file is common Unicode XML file. The strings entered in the <Messages> section (author, book title) are shown wrongly in generated book (in WIM viewer and Windows viewer), although the book content is OK.
In iSiloX, when I update those strings in document properties, close that dialog and open it again, Czech accented characters are shown in "unrecognized Unicode" way - as two characters.
Since it is present in both linux and Windows versions, it seems like some problem with used XML parser.

Ascii
Currently only ASCII characters are supported in the messages. The behavior is undefined if you use any non-ASCII characters.

Thanks for answer.
Will you update this erroneous behavior?
At least for UTF-8 output encoding... (Anyway, the XML declaration at the beginning of the configuration file says that it is UTF-8 and you enable UTF-8 output encoding so there is apparently no problem with unicode itself nor with transcoding).
It's a pity if you allow text conversion for various languages and do not allow using of special characters from those languages in book meta information.

Next update
Yes, we intend to update it so that the meta-data gets encoded the same as the document.
We'll see whether we can work it into the next update or two.
