Default Isilo on Storm 2 and Vista

I am a previous owner of iSilo versions on Palm and Windows devices. I downloaded the trial Touch version and dowloaded a bunch of files to the media card of the Storm 2. All was well. I had to replace the Storm 2 with another Storm 2. I retained the media card for the new device. I reinstalled iSilo. All is working well. But in Windows, I don't see the files on the media card anymore when the device is connected to the laptop. The only thing I see in the directory are the license and readme files. Why don't they show? They must be there .... somewhere?

    Thanks .... Dwyne

    Arrow Two volumes/drive

When you mount the Storm 2 on your Vista machine, there will probably actually be two drives mounted. One is the internal storage memory and the other is the media card. The one where you see the license and readme files would most likely be the internal volume. So look for another mounted drive that represents your media card.

    Default Two volumes/drive

I only see 2 drives under Blackberry 9550, Device Memory & Media Card. The license and readme files are in the iSilo directory ("Blackberry 9550/Media card/Documents/iSilo").

The problem remains, even after purchasing an iSilo Blackberry license.

In fact I tried dragging a few new pbd files onto the device. I can see them on the device within Windows but not on the Blackberry.

    Arrow Two volumes

Are you sure that you are dragging to the volume that represents your media card?

Please see the attached screenshot which shows what happens when we connect a Storm via the USB cable and enable mass storage mode under Vista. In the file explorer window, you can see that two volumes get mounted as the drives "BLACKBERRY2 (E: )" and "BLACKBERRY1 (F: )". Right-clicking the E: drive, then clicking Properties, shows that the E: drive is about 8G in size, which corresponds to the size of the micro SD card that we have in our Storm. Right-clicking the F: drive, then clicking Properties shows that the F: drive is about 1G in size, which is the size of the device's internal memory. In our case, the above means that the E: drive represents the Media Card and the F: drive represents the Device Memory, and thus that we should thus make sure that we copy our document files to the E: drive.

When you connect your Storm2 using the USB cable to your Vista computer and enable mass storage mode, do you see one or two volumes mounted? What are the sizes of those new volumes that get mounted that represent your Storm2's storage as shown in the Properties dialog?

Assuming you did copy the files correctly to the Media Card volume, then in iSilo, go to the rightmost tab of the document list view. There, press the Escape hardware button (the one with an arrow head that curves back) until you get the volume list. In the volume list, select Media Card, then navigate down to the directory where you copied the files to. You should see them there.
