General Comments about 5.07

I previously used iSilo on my Palm and was very satisfied.
I have excellent medical texts that I wish to continue using on my Ipod Touch in Isilo format. This reader, however, is not very satisfactory on this device.

1. The menu system is a awkward, although this can be partially overcome by programming tapping options for frequently used functions. The menus should be nested, so you don't have to scroll through the entire list of items to get what you want. Also, the "dock" bar should be customizable.
2. More importantly, the program is unstable. When viewing isilo documents (in the old or new format), the hyperlinks or taps suddenly stop working. Exiting and restarting the program makes it responsive again. Occasionally the program just crashes and exits.
3. There is no pinch or expand functionality that I can discern. When I attempt to enlarge, the text just disappears, until I exit the document and reenter. This is a major feature of the iphone OS and its hard to fathom why isilo would not implement this. This is especially important with illustrations, which sometimes appear too small.
4. The "scroll bar" has unpredictable behavior in long documents and is basically useless. It is overly sensitive and makes the document jump around wildly between sections. This is a major useability problem.

With the program's basic features and functionality, it has the potential to be an excellent reader. But the stability and useability problems which I outlined prevent it from being truly useful.

I hope that in a future updates these issues will be addressed.

People wouldn't mind paying for a $9.99 app if it's a decent and stable app - This app has too many bugs and it frequently crashes. The simple reset and restart suggestions just wouldn't cut it. To Mr. Darren Chi: Please dust off your genius cap and kindly make sure that you get out a stable version immediately. If not, you will see a couple of 1 stars on your app store reviews.
