    Default Drop-down menu formatting issue

    I'm finding an interesting quirk when trying to style drop-down menus in iSilo.

    If I add any styles to the menu's select tag, it changes the background of the pop-up menu to yellow and the background color to blue. I'm trying to style the select tag (so it has a bigger font) but to leave the background of the pop-up menu as white. I can't figure out how to do this. Help?

    This is how the page displays with the following HTML where there's no style applied to the select tag:
    Code:
    <select onchange="GoURLValue(this);">
    			<option value="#">Select</option>
    			<option value="#">Choice 1</option>
    			<option value="#">Choice 2</option>
    			<option value="#">Choice 3</option>
    			<option value="#">Choice 4</option>
    </select>

    In contrast, the following image shows how it displays when there's any style tag:
    Code:
    <select style="font-size: 20px;" onchange="GoURLValue(this);">
    			<option value="#">Select</option>
    			<option value="#">Choice 1</option>
    			<option value="#">Choice 2</option>
    			<option value="#">Choice 3</option>
    			<option value="#">Choice 4</option>
    </select>

    Note that even though the style only changed the font-size, it shows a yellow background color to the drop-down list and a blue color as the background color of the drop-down control arrow.

    Any suggestions?

    Arrow span

    If you specify a style attribute, then iSilo does not draw the borders and sets the background to the default color or the color you specify.

    If you just want to change the font size, then you can enclose the select within a span with the style attribute set, like this:
    Code:
    <span style="font-size: 20px;">
    <select onchange="GoURLValue(this);">
       <option value="#">Select</option>
       <option value="#">Choice 1</option>
       <option value="#">Choice 2</option>
       <option value="#">Choice 3</option>
       <option value="#">Choice 4</option>
    </select>
    </span>

    Thanks. That is useful.

    Using the background attribute, I can change the background color of the box and the selected item to any color and I can change the font color of the selected item but the background color of the list of items when they're all shown after tapping the control is yellow and the text here is black. What attributes change the color of these?

    iSilo seems to behave quite differently than my browser (Firefox) when it comes to these.

    Arrow Fixed colors

    It is not possible to change the yellowish background and black text of the non-current item. They are fixed within iSilo to those colors.

    Thanks for the clarification.

    So when any style of the select element is changed from the default, one loses the ability to have the white background of the list seen in the default setting?
