Options availability in a document
Just migrated my iSilo documents from Palm to my BB Curve. I notice the slowdown an understand the reasons why. My problem is that I am unable to adjust the document settings while reading the document. I pull up the menu with Marks/Go To/Edit/Tools yet when I select any of these options the program does nothing. Anyone else with this problem? Should I re-install?

Menu option
From the BlackBerry home screen Options, then in Options, go to Screen/Keyboard. Look for a setting named Menu Style. Try changing it from "Full menu" to "Short Menu".

Thanks for the reply but that didn't work. Also, I apologize, I see now that this question was asked (in different ways) in other posts. It seems to have worked for others but not for me, don't know why. Question-within a document do I have the ability (like in Palm OS Isilo) to change the font, add a bookmark, etc. or are these options not existent in the Blackberry version?

Yes
Yes, those options are available via the menu.

Update-I am an idiot. I forgot to "SAVE" the change to the different menu in the BB options menu before exiting. Once I did that iSilo worked like a charm-love it.

Same Problem...I've saved still no font change?
I'm not sure if I have skipped some stetps?
I would like to change the font to BB Alpha Sans (same font as the default internet explorer's) but every time I went to "Edit --> options" then "font" then change to BB Alpha Sans, then "save".. the same darn ugly old font still shown on my books?
In the font choosing menu, the first item is called "Family Name:". I could not figure out what that for??
Hope someone can help me on these...

Three font families, one default
Runs of text in documents in iSilo format can specify that the run be formatted using a Serif font, Sans Serif font, or Monospace font, so within iSilo, the user himself can assign specific fonts to be used for each of those families. The Default family is for the case where a document or run of text does not specify what type of font should be used.
So what you can do is just to set each and every one of the font families to use the BB Alpha Sans font. For each font family, select the font family name first, then select the BB Alpha Sans font.

Thanks!
I figured that out by looking at the 'newbies' (that's me) section.

I tried setting all of the fonts in the family to the same font on my BB Bold - BBAlpha Sans, but it doesn't seem to make a difference to the font that's displayed in several books I've tried. The only thing that makes a difference is to change the Display options to Large Font Size & Bold Emphasis. This still shows the square BlackBerry font that's hard to read though.
I've had a lot of experience with iSilo on the Palm - been using it since the the first version of iSilo. I've used iSiloX a bunch as well, but I can't seem to get iSilo for the BlackBerry to display right yet.
Any ideas or help?
Tom
