Unhappy Blackberry Beta - issues with hyperlinks

I did a search for this, but only found one thread relating to hyperlinks not working in tables. I have a Blackberry Curve 8330 and cannot access hyperlink mode at all. I've used the trackball to scroll right, but can't get into it. I'm using it in trial mode right now if that makes a difference, though your manual says it should be fully functional.

I've got several documents in which I know that hyperlinks are set up correctly. I'm a long time iSilo user, though I recently switched from the Palm to Blackberry platform. The documents I'm trying to use were set up foir iSilo 4.x, which was the last version I'd upgraded to. However, I also set up a new document in Word HTML with hyperlinks using iSiloX to convert to PDB format and I can't access hyperlinks in that one either.

There are also options mentioned in the manual that don't appear to be accessible in the beta -- button options for one. Is the beta almost over for Blackberry OS, or will a complete version be ready for upgrade soon?

    Any ideas?

    Arrow Table hyperlink bug

The problem you observe is indeed a bug with regard to traversing across links in a table. We are working on incorporating a fix into the next update. The only workaround is to set the Layout option for the document to "Disable Table Layout" (Edit/Options/Display/Layout).

The initial version of iSilo for BlackBerry is no longer in beta. It was released at the beginning of May. The last beta was supposed to expire on May 15. If you are still using the beta, then the date on your device must be wrong.

The Button options were available in the beta and are available in the release version. It may be that you are confusing the fact that the document list view has its own options and the read view has its own different set of options. The Button options are only available in the read view (e.g., while viewing a document). While viewing a document, go to Edit/Options/Button.

Thanks so much. I just assumed it was still a beta version. I checked and I have 5.02, so there is no beta listed in the version.

I tried your fix and it worked great. Only one document didn't work, but I think it is the way that MS Word 2007 set up the links. I used the cross-reference feature to set up the hyperlinks and apparently that didn't translate. I'll try reediting the document and setting up the references differently. The button feature was also where you mentioned. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.

Is the Blackberry version available for purchase? I tried last night to do an upgrade from 4.0 but didn't see Blackberry OS listed in the list of choices.

    Arrow Crossgrade

The term upgrade applies only for going from a previous version of the same platform to a newer version of the same platform. So technically, there is no upgrade for BlackBerry since version 5.02 is the first release ever (e.g., there are no previous iSilo for BlackBerry license owners).

What you want is a crossgrade, where you move from one platform to another. At the iSilo store, to get the crossgrade discount, click Single User Licensing then click Single User License Additions.

    Smile Thank you!

That did the trick. I'm now an official registered user on my Blackberry!
