Default iSiloX can't open https://... pages?

I'm trying to convert a current version of the CIA World Factbook and I'm coming up with the following error message:

    Unable to open: https://www.cia.gov/cia/publications...rylisting.html

I'm going for the text/low image version of the data from the CIA World Factbook hompage. What do I need to do to get iSiloX to open this type of webpage. [For the record, I've downloaded the 2004 version back when from Memoware, but it hasn't been updated for iSilo since then. There's a current version for eReader, but the iSilo version is stuck at 2004.]

    Thanks in advance.

    Arrow Https

iSiloX does not support HTTPS. You will need to go to https://www.cia.gov/cia/download.html, download a local copy and convert your local copy.

Default Two things I didn't know.

Thanks for the info. I didn't know about the HTTPS thing. And the download wasn't easy to figure out from their page. Maybe I'm not spy material, but the "Download" link wasn't that intuitve to me.

    Maybe you're the spy...
    Thanks again.

    Unhappy Oh, this sucks!

I need a little more help here. Having downloaded the folder, how should I set up iSiloX to handle it? I thought maybe pointing the "Add File" tab towards the folder might solve it and let iSiloX crunch it all together, but it want me to add each .HTML file seperately (I think.)

There's got to be an easier, softer way, right?

    Default I'm trying something here.

I hope this works. I downloaded the file and instead of pointing iSiloX to each and every little .HTML and .GIF and .JPEG and such, I just dragged them all into the iSiloX file chooser window. I also dragged the Index.html's so hopefully that will put them all into place.

Crossing fingers here. I've never converted anything so ambitious this way. I'm exploring new frontiers and such.

    Default So I tried it...

And it's everything. I'm glad the drag-and-drop thing worked, but I just want the text only version. I guess I'll keep plugging away here to trim down this conversion to just what I want and none of what I don't (it's 127MB versus the expected 5-6MB.)

Any idea on how to tell which files are the ones I want from the downloaded file? Is anyone else at all interested in a trim CIA Factbook for iSilo?

    Default Trying something new.

There's a "print" folder in the downloaded file. I just dragged-and-dropped the enclosed .HTML files from it into a new iSiloX document. Hopefully it'll be the answer.

    Crosses fingers.

That link no longer works, try this one instead:
