iSilo setup

Hello,
I can't get through the iSilo setup that begins the process of iSilo to my palm OS device (palm pilot). I agree to the license agreement. The next screen is the options screen that has 4 radio buttons selected. It asks me for a user which doesn't show up to select. I have a user assigned to the palm pilot software, but iSilo setup does not retrieve it. Can you help me?

If you have HotSync installed and you can HotSync your Palm Pilot with your computer, then your username should show in the list.

As an alternative, you can download the zip file, extract the files from the zip, then install the extracted .prc and .pdb files to your device.

I have the files mentioned unzipped in a folder. How do I get them on my US robotics palm pilot. I'm new at this. Maybe you can help me?

You need to install the Palm Desktop/HotSync software that came with your device. You should then be able to use the Palm Install software to install .prc/.pdb files to your device.

You say that you have a US Robotics Palm Pilot. Note that iSilo requires Palm OS 3.0 or later, so if your device is indeed a Palm Pilot with Palm OS 2.x, 512K memory, then iSilo will not run on it. The Palm III was the first device with Palm OS 3.0.

Do you know if I update to the later software, 3.0 or later?

Assuming you are confirming that you do have a Palm Pilot with Palm OS 2.0, then you can not update to Palm OS 3.0 since the OS is in ROM, besides the fact that the device only has 512K of RAM memory. You would really need to buy a new device.
