Cant do anotations with version 6.04
I had an iPad1 with isilo 5.26 and I had no problems. Now I bought an iPad 3 and with the version 6.04 I cant do anotations. I tried to highlight with no luck. Is this a bug? I really need this feature. Please help me!
Annotations still work
Annotations work with iSilo 6.04 on an iPad 3. Which step of the highlighting process does not seem to work?
I also cannot highlight and I have an iPad 2. The annotation menu is grey so it cannot be chosen.
The Annotations command is for listing the annotations you have for the document. But since you do not yet have any annotations, it is greyed out.
To add an annotation, you first select the text you want to annotate. Keep reading for instructions on how to do this.
While viewing a document, you can use the point assist feature to help with tapping on links and selecting text. With this feature, when you hold you finger down on an inactive area of the content portion of the read view without moving for at least a second, a cursor appears on the screen above your finger to help with pointing. The point assist feature has three modes, as described next.
When you hold you finger down without moving for at least a second, the point assist feature turns on with the cursor being a black dot. To select a link, move the dot over the link until it highlights then release your finger.
When you hold your finger down on the screen without moving for at least two seconds, the point assist mode changes to the select start mode and the cursor changes to a vertical line with a blue dot in the center. Use this mode to set the starting character for a selection. Release your finger when the starting character you want to select is highlighted.
After setting the first character of the selection using the just described select start mode, the point assist feature automatically switches to the select end mode when you next press down on the screen so that you can set the endpoint of the selection. In this mode, the cursor changes to a vertical line with two blue dots. Use this mode to set the ending character for a selection. Release your finger when the entire range of text you want to select is highlighted.
After setting the endpoint of the selection, a context menu appears with the Annotate command.
