Default Just downgraded to 3.0.2 but how do I install iSilo without having to buy it again?

    Hello,

I purchased this touchpad for a friend. The friend bought iSilo and put it on the tablet. Unfortunately because of the 3.0.4 bug the friend sent me back the tablet. Now I have rolled it back to 3.0.2 and this friend purchased iSilo for me as a gift. How do I avoid paying for the same thing twice? Please provide instructions as to how to install on the tablet without paying a 2nd time.

    Hello,

After helping another friend with the same process of downgrading to 3.0.2 I realized that he didn't have to reinstall isilo and that it worked perfectly fine on his tablet. The difference between him and I is that when I downgraded and installed new firmware I reinitialized the tablet with a new webOS account ID/email. This is what caused the tablet to loose the isilo app. I do have a receipt for this purchase however and I would like to be reimbursed after I pay a 2nd time for isilo to be placed on the same tablet.

I will do this only if I can't change the email address for his webOS account to another email address. Please instruct me as to how to solve this situation. I have a receipt for my purchase here:

    Thanks

    Arrow Account

The purchase is tied to the account that used for the purchase and unfortunately developers have no way to refund a purchase, as the store is owned and controlled by HP/Palm. Developers only have the ability to submit software for inclusion in the store.

You would need to set up your device with the same account that you used when you made the purchase and that may entail reinitializing your device.

Looking towards the future, is there a way to purchase and install iSilo without going through the HP store?

    Arrow App Catalog

There is not an officially supported way of installing applications outside of the App Catalog, so the basic answer is no at this time.
