    Default isilo crashing

Hi. I purchased this program back in the day of 4.01.

I use an Acer n10 currently with iSilo installed to memory. I regularly use research files that range in size from 15MB to 150MB. Obviously, these files are stored on my CF card (although I also use an SD card with basically the same results).

I had a problem back in 4.01 with the program crashing when I turned the device off and on again (or if the device was screen locked and timed out in that mode, the same as turning off).

I upgraded to 4.05. This solved the problem about 30-50% of the time, and was acceptable if only just. Unfortunately, it also left the program booting up 10 times slower (about 15 seconds compared to 2 previously.

I have recently reinstalled my 4.05 again after a tragic hard reboot (where did I put that REG CODE?! ----->waiting for response on lost reg code) and noticed that it worked a little better regarding this issue. (about 30-70% of the time it will not crash)

Happily, the cold start time of the program dropped back down to 2 seconds (PHEW) but it still likes to crash for fun, naturally at the most inopportune times too!

Have there been any improvements in later versions? The list of updates said that 4.05 was the last version to receive such changes.

I have tried giving the program time to load more of the CF card information into memory and a few other things, such as scrolling up and down before turning the device off, but I can't seem to come up with anything that works reliably.

Are there any tips and tricks here? Am I forced to just exit the file and leave the program running every time I will leave the device idle for a few minutes? I often use the device to check information in several hour long meetings and have neither the battery nor the patience to be happy with that level of fiddling.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Try the latest version, which is version 4.25. There may have been various changes through the versions that may help with the problem you are having.
