I will have an eBook with well over 500 pages. What is common to most of them is that there are "categories" of information on each page. The is a drug handbook and there will be these categories (plus a few more):

Dogs
Cats
Horses
Cattle
Sheep/Goats
PocketPets
etc...
Doses
Chemistry
Storage/Stability/Compatibility
Pharmacology
Uses/Indications
Pharmacokinetics
Contraindications/Precautions
Reproductive/Nursing Safety
Adverse Effects/Warnings
Overdosage/Acute Toxicity
etc...

Is there a way to have bookmarks that will jump to the selected place for that page? What I mean is that there is no way to have this many individual bookmarks. But, since the categories of information are the same for each page, is there a way to "jump" to that bookmark for that particular page? Hope this description is adequate.

Thanks,
Linda

You can create internal bookmarks (named anchors) within each page. Hyperlinks within your e-book can link to a given page and directly to a specific named anchor within that page.

You can make a bookmark for anything that you can make a link to. But it quickly gets unwieldy when you have too many bookmarks (ie. more than 15-20). I've found it much easier for navigation to use hierarchical hyperlinked tables of contents and indexes.

Hope this helps answer your question.

Regards,

Andrew
