Comparing with iSiloX, it is such a magic for its simplicity, speed and file size. However, iSiloX Clipper is not available in Mac OS X... therefore, I'd like to know more about iSilo Clipper, how it works and things like that, in order to migrate such function to the Mac OS X platform.

Can I achieve similar results in terms of speed of conversion and file size by tweaking the .ixl file settings and convert the file using iSiloX/iSiloXC?

Please share or thoughts.

If you use any of iSiloX, iSiloXC, or iSiloX Clipper to convert the same file, the resulting .pdb file will be exactly the same size regardless of which platform version of iSiloX, iSiloXC, and iSiloX Clipper you use. As for speed, that depends on the performance of your computer system as a whole.

As for how everything integrates into Internet Explorer on Windows, iSiloX Clipper is a COM object. You can find a tutorial on adding toolbar buttons to Internet Explorer at http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp under Web Development/Internet Explorer Development/Programming and Reusing the Browser/Browser Extensions/Overview/Tutorials/Adding Toolbar Buttons. As far as I know though, the information only applies to Internet Explorer for Windows, but not to Mac OS. Another thing to note is that iSiloX Clipper does not call upon either iSiloX or iSiloXC to perform the conversion. It operates natively on the source data just as iSiloX and iSiloXC themselves do.
