I am thinking of writing an applescript to convert some wikipedia pages to iSilo format and sync it straight into PocketPC and leave a copy in my computer as well.
The rough idea is to use iSilo / iSiloXC, send the active page's url to it, convert, and then copy it to my PocketPC (of coz mounted using MissingSync).
Any comment on the viability / advice or guidelines?

Note that this will not be like the Clipper. iSiloX Clipper scrapes the web page from the browser which is a fairly significant difference between just pulling out the URL. I'm not trying to discourage you; I'm merely clarifying what the Clipper is.
You may also wish to speak with the developer of ClipMe (available at http://www.agynamix.com) which does something similar to what you want, and the developer used Java (so some of it may work on your Mac).

Yes, I also discovered that using iSilo for Mac to convert the same page generated a significantly larger file than using the iSiloClipper in Windows.
I also assume that the difference you meant between my proposed way and the clipper is that the clipper has merged into ActiveSync as one of the sync items. But for this, it'd be solved by writing the file immediately after conversion (that's why the device must be mounted, and I am sure that will be other workarounds to make things better, such as writing another script to compare and copy the updated isilo files from a folder once the device is connected)
