View Full Version : What's "Step 3"?

When I watch iSiloX crunch away at my different channels, I see "Step 1: Gathering sources" and "Step 2: Gathering images" and then "Step 4: Converting to destination format." What is this mythical "Step 3"? Should I be glad that I don't see it? Is no news truly good news?

On another note, some of my RSS channels work just splendidly and all is well with the world. Some others have recently been exhibiting an odd behavior, they ask me to log-in before I can get into the juicyness inside. The only problem is that they never asked this before and I haven't configured them to work in this fashion. How does one make it work? I hope it's as simple as going into the preferences of the channel and entering in my User Name and Password into the fields and letting iSiloX deal with it on it's own. I doubt it, however, because I remember the intense trouble that MobileRead readers were having trying to get MyYahoo! channels to work (I still never could get it to work.) Am I in luck here? Or should I just get my RSS wonderfulness from other channels?

Thanks.

Step 3 should usually be "Resolve links". If there are few links and/or you have a really fast system, that step may pass by too quickly to display its status.
