View Full Version : What happened to the fonts?

I use an HP hx4705 Pocket PC, with a 148,323 KB .pdb file.

I used the trial version for a day or so and was sold on the product and registered the software.

In experimenting with the fonts I seem to have lost the ability to use the Tahoma font?

I can pick one a font from a choice of two fonts:
New Courier
Tahoma
and they do pick and show examples BUT only courier shows in the documents. I think I was using Tahoma in my huge document originally, but when I was experimenting my hand brushed the navigation pad and a few things flashed around on the screen and now I only have the ability to use the Courier font from small to big sizes, plus Bold and Italic do not work either.

I think I messed something up when I touched the navigation touch pad.

While viewing the document, go to the Tools menu, and tap Options. In the Options dialog, tap the Font tab. For each of the families Default, Sans Serif, and Serif select Tahoma as the font to use. Then tap OK in the upper right.

1. How many fonts are availale upon iSilo intallation?
The fonts that are available to iSilo are the same fonts as that installed on your device for general use.

2. How does one go about viewing with more fonts?
You can install additional fonts in the \Windows\Fonts directory.

3. What is the difference between [Display] font sizes and the [Font] font sizes & how does one use the sizes in [Font]?
The "Size" field in the Font tab is only for previewing how a font looks at a certain size.

The "Font" field on the Display tab is what you use to adjust the font size of the document. A document can have text in many different sizes, so this field affects the relative font size if "Relative" is chosen. If you select "Absolute", then all text appears in the same size.
