External Document linking

Are there any other locations with greater detail on the external linking? I have the external linking working successfully, but I still have a few problems. When I link by name. It doesn't always work correctly. The link does take me to the correct document, but not the correct place in the document. It goes to the first page in the document. I'm pretty sure that if I use link by offset or reference ID, this might fix the problem, but I'm not sure what the offset ID or reference ID is. I have successfully exported the map file and found two hexadecimal columns in it, but do not know which is the offset and which is the reference ID.

The final part of the question is when I use the External Documents screen, do I use the offset ID in the field that says Link prefix instead of the name/URL?

The only way I have been able to get external document linking to work is to place each document's HTML source in a separate subfolder. You could then go into iSiloX and enter each subfolder name as an external link. For the document path prefix, you would use the format subfoldername/. Hope this helps.
