I made a Vietnamese iSilo file using UTF-8 encoding, I've looked at it in the Windows desktop version and it looks great. However, when I transfer it to my Pocket PC, there seem to be missing fonts. I get squares in many places. It's as if the font is not available. Is there something else I need to install on my Pocket PC so that it will look the same as the windows version of iSilo? Do I need to put some fonts on my Pocket PC?? Any kind of information will be useful...Thank you very much

What fonts do you use in the Windows version, and have you copied those fonts onto your Pocket PC device?

I guess that's the problem...Is there such a thing as a UTF-8 font? I have no Vietnamese specific fonts on my computer.
Thanks

I am not certain which fonts iSilo selects by default, but it is probably a safe bet that they are Arial, Courier New, and Times New Roman.

In short:

Open the "Fonts" folder from the control panel on your Microsoft Windows machine. Drag the above-named fonts to the "My Device/Windows/Fonts" directory on your Pocket PC device.

Now follow the normal directions in iSilo to use the new fonts rather than the old ones.

Good luck.

If you have Office 2000, then you may have access to the Arial Unicode MS font. Take a look at this thread.

I copied a couple of "Vietnamese" unicode fonts in the windows/fonts directory of my Pocket PC...it's looking much better...Thanks for your suggestions.
