I dowloaded some e-books,many in fact, and then copied them to card, deleting original. I have done this with over a hundred, no problem.
But 3 ebooks have left or created another file (of 0kb) on the card. I can delete them from in iSilo (folder), but they always reappear when I turn off and then back on (and it syncs).
I found them via both Mcfile and FileZ, but though I can select them I can not move, delete or rename them: all I get idsthe message 'an error prevented the file from being deleted'. What are they? How do I get rid of them?
Cheers

Could it be corruption on your card?
Have you tried using a card reader to delete the files?
What model of Palm OS device do you have?

I wondered about this - but I am still adding e books, converting files (with iSilo x) etc. and use card for other readers and many apps, and everything else is fine

No - is there one I could try?
What model of Palm OS device do you have?
Tungsten T, lexar 128mb.
Only other thought I have is that I renamed the e books - but again,I do this with them all, and all others are okay.
cheers

The corruption may only affect specific file entries and not necessarily anything else on the card.
By card reader, I mean the peripheral that attaches to your desktop PC, usually through a USB cable that allows you to read and write to a memory card as a removeable drive. Any card reader that can read the type of memory card you have should do.
Sorry, no other suggestions about the problem.
