I'm using isilo 4.15 to read medicine text books (English) on my pc (and soon on my handheld...) and most pdb files work great, but some of them just give me gibberish even if they're also in English. I tried to change the enconding but it won't help.
Thanx...

First, are you sure the files that show gibberish are documents are in iSilo format?
Would you be able to post an example file?

Thanks for posting the file. The file you posted is neither in iSilo nor Palm Doc format, so you will not be able to read it with iSilo. The creator type of the file is CTx1. You'll need to consult the place where you got the file to determine which application you need in order to be able to read the file.

how can one know if a pdb file is in isilo format?

One way is to open the file with iSilo then look in the Document Information dialog. If the Type field says iSilo, then it is an iSilo document. If it says Unknown, then it is not a format iSilo can read, unless it is a plain text file.
