I am on the verge of purchasing a reader. I have searched and searched the web and in my opinion iSilo comes out top - the drag ability and seach capabilities (the single button find next, instead of half a screen lost to teh find window in some of the programs) swung me over to iSilo. However, what is missing is a tool to highlight text and add annotations. Is there any certainity whether these features will be added. If yes, I will purchase the software and be patient. If there are no guarantees, then I will need to purchase a lesser program but that can accomodate these.

I certainly think that this is a feature that the developers could add. This is one that I haven't thought to ask about, but I certainly have a need for this. I've actually wanted it for a long time, but when I converted to iSilo (for all the other pluses that it had over everything else) I simply accepted that the feature wasn't available and forgot about it.
Please add this one to your list of features to add. This would be great!

Would love to have the ability to edit files on my Palm, as there are sometimes misspelling, and sometimes conversion products substitute other characters for the real ones

My problem with changing the original document is that, for me, it is a secondary copy. If I see a misspelling or conversion error, then I would prefer to flag that point so I could correct the original.
Highlighting important information is another matter, though.

Most of what I would like to fix are ebooks so to me the isilo file is the original, it seems like the OCR software at times gets carried away and it isn't readily caught

For me, the XHTML copy is the original ebook and I convert that into the iSilo format.
As for OCR errors, they tend to repeat themselves many times in the same document. For these situations, I prefer a true query/global search/replace function with support for regular expressions; I don't expect my book reader to support this. :-)
