Though there are no present plans, I support the request for a Nokia 9500/9300 version, which I would happily buy since I have several useful documents I would like to be able to browse on my 9500 phone/pda.

I own a Nokia 9500. Please let us know if you plan now a version for that model. Many of my friends use Isilo on PDA. I don't need PDA, that's why I bought a 9500. If you are able to make a version for P900, is it very difficult to do one for 9500?

Thank you! :)

It's not so much a matter of difficulty, but developing for a new platform requires a large investment of time and money, and diversion of resources from improving the existing platform versions. So unfortunately unless there are indications that developing for a new platform might have some overall positive payoff, developing for that new platform can not be made a priority.

I understand your point. Could it be possible to register for the will to buy a 9500/9300 version if it were developed? So that if eventually enough people asks for it, you could consider adapting to that platform.

Yes, people can do that by posting their desire for it on this thread.

I would also be interested. Porting from UIQ to Series80 is only a change in Userinterface. Most of the OS is exactly the same. Just allow keyboard input and add functions for the 4 keys on the side of the screen.

I also hope that there will be Series 60/80/90 versions of iSilo.
There are huge number of Series 60 users so it has a very big market potential. Also, Series 80 and 90 are having very similar core. I think making a version for Nokia's smartphone platform will take iSilo to much more audiences and it will be a great thing.

I, along with 3 other relatives use isilo extensively on our pda's. We also have series 60 phones which would definitely enjoy isilo content on them!

I used Isilo for the Palm, for the Pocket Pc and the Handheld Pc.
I bought a nokia 9300 because of the keyboard, the great screen and its stability.
However my main problem is I can't read Isilo books anymore :( :(
Because most of the medical works for the PDA this is a big omission.

Please port ISilo to the series 80 platform (it should be fairly simple!)

Many thanks in advance

Now that there are an uiq and a series 60 version, I hope that you will soon make available isilo for series 80!
It is so badly needed that I would register in advance, only upon the promise it will be published, just to make you feel that porting is going to be worthwile...

im a major fan of isilo, i used to have it in my old PDA, it very useful, i i have a 9500 now, i tried Adobe reader but the huge files cannot process in the 9500.

if only there is a release, i would convert everything to pdb files and will be more convenient.

I am seriously fed up. Such a good program and no version for series 80 phones
I don't think it's so difficult for people that already have a series 60 and uiq version. Please IIsilo people if you do not intend to make a version for 9500/9300 let us know.

I purchased Symbian 60 version but cannot get it to work on my Nokia 9500 - have I done something wrong?

Would the 4.13 work?

Thanks

The 9500 is a Series 80 device, so "iSilo for Symbian Series 60" will not work on it. There is currently no version of iSilo for Series 80 devices.

Thanks for prompt reply.

I have been using TomeRaider, excellent program on 9500 but some reference works I use are only available as .pdb

I don't want to ditch 9500, have been using Communicators ever since 9100 came out.

Are there any plans for iSilo on 9500?

thanks

Would you, Administrator, tell us how the new version for Series 80 is doing?

It Seems the deadline has not been accomplished. Can you give us a new deadline?

We need Isilo badly.

The fact that its almost a year since the last post (before the 2nd to last one) was made kind of shows the demand (or lack thereof) so why not get an E90 and thereby have iSilo available..

For that you can get iSilo now since it runs Symbian S60 3rd Edition:
