Isilo and symbian OS

So, seems that there isn't (or going to be) Isilo for Symbian. And that the only way to get info onto my phone is to open the Isilo document in IsiloX, then copy the data into a text editor.

My question is, once this is done, what's the best software for viewing the document on a Symbian phone. As similar to Isilo as possible I suppose, allowing bookmarking, search etc.

Any ideas?

No tips, but a version of iSilo for Symbian UIQ is under development. Which specific flavor of Symbian OS are you using?

You will have the complete market if iSilo can support Symbian 6.1 or above, if it is not a good choice from developer point of view, then support Symbian 7 can still give you 80% market and of course, continuosly growing. As PDA started to decline, in 1 to 2 years, smartphone shall dominate the handy document reader market, and as usual, 2 players left, Microsoft and one other, and that will be Symbian.

I wouldn't hold your breath by the look of things......they aren't exactly hurrying to reply. And this is the first mention of the Symbian version I've heard of.

Hello, I have installed the isilo beta version for symbian/UIQ on my sony-ericsson P900 mobile phone.

My symbian version:7.0 with UIQ v2.1 user interface and applications environment

When trying to use the software, I recieved the following message:

Trial mode operation is also part of the test.

At the end of the trial period, iSilo transitions to "free mode", at which time you need to purchase a license in order to use it in "registered mode".

"iSilo for Symbian UIQ" is expected to be officially released in the coming days. You can now purchase a license at the store. Click Store in the lower right to go to the store.

i just bought a license an hour ago but the pre release I downloaded had expired already . have tried installing previous download but get the same message on my P900 . what should I do

Have you the instructions in the manual (http://isilo.com/support/manual/iSiloUIQ/DocumentListView.htm#iSiloAboutiSilo), or are you experiencing some other difficulty?

You may also need to manually switch (http://isilo.com/support/manual/iSiloUIQ/DocumentListView.htm#iSiloAboutiSilo) the mode.

It sounds like you have the beta version installed. Make sure you install the release version from the download (http://www.iSilo.com/download/) page.

I apologize for not reading your post as closely as I should have. As iSilo said, download the final release and then enter in the registration code.
