All -

I am just trying iSolo/iSoloX out for my ppc and it seems like a great app so far. However, I can't seem to figure the scheduled conversion out yet, which really is necessary.

The scheduled conversion account popup asks for a username and password. I only have my account (NO password) and the administrator account (WITH password). If I just leave the pword field blank with my login info nothing happens. If I type in administrator and the pword, nothing happens....

Could someone help me get the automatic schedule working here so I can try it out?

Thanks!

I'm not sure if this will help, but you need to have the Windows Task Scheduler enabled in your operating system.

You should be able to verify that iSiloX is working properly by going into the "Control Panel" and clicking the "Scheduled Tasks" option. If you see an entry in the list for iSiloX, then everything should be ready to go. If not, we need to figure out why that is.

Scheduled tasks are running just fine on my PC. I have several that run daily and weekly without issue.

iSolo does not show anywhere. If I go into document properties in iSoloX and try adding a schedule there, it shows as "set" in the app, but never runs and never shows in scheduled tasks on my PC.....

Just for fun, open the "Scheduling" box from the "Options" menu in iSiloX. Check the box "Disable scheduling with Windows Task Scheduler" and then close iSiloX. Reopen the application , uncheck the box, and see if iSiloX sets up the appropriate entry.

I'm hoping the above might reset something that might be stuck in iSiloX, but it's just a guess.

No change.

This must have something to do with the "scheduled conversion account" setting?

What exactly should I have in there? It defaults to my "Computer Name"\"Account Login Name". The password entry is blank and as I said I don't use a password for my normal login.

I do however have a password for my admin account (of which I am a full member). Do I need to put Administrator and some combination of my computer name, or what?

Thanks.

The iSiloX Manual has the following:

Windows XP and Windows 2000 require an account to have a password if it is to run a scheduled task. So if your account does not have a password, you must create a password for it. See your Windows documentation for information about creating a password for your account.
You probably can not use iSiloX to set up scheduled tasks using your administrator account if you are logged in as another user. You probably need to log in as administrator first and then start iSiloX to schedule the task(s) if you want to use your administrator account.

I guess that you've scheduled some conversions within the isilox first?

You can manually add an entry into the scheduler - there is help in isilo x for the syntax
isilox -x isilofile.ixc
you can then schedule it whenever you want.
sometime I have not bothered with setting it up within isilo and create the schedule within windows, getting isilox to to convert at login.
