I use HP iPaq hx4700 Pocket PC running Windows Mobile 2003SE. It appears that there is a problem with iSilo's compatibility with with this VGA device.

When I open document in iSilo, I get a misaligned button bar, as shown in the attached screenshot. Once the screen is redrawn by, say, minimizing and maximizing iSilo, the bar shows fine.

Will this issue be resolved in version 4.15?

Cheers,

Version 4.15 is due for release very soon so there isn't enough time. The issue will need to be investigated first.

It also happens on my asus a730 VGA ppc2003se. When I open a document the menubar/scollbar is misaligned as I scroll the page. I have to min/max or go into option/ok to fix it every time I start isilo.

I'm also having this problem with a Loox 720 (vga device).

We've been unable to reproduce this problem on an hx4700 with WM2003SE.

For all of you who reported the problem, if you shutdown iSilo by using List/Exit or by using the Memory application to shut it down, then restart iSilo and open a document, is the toolbar still misaligned? Or does the problem only seem to happen after doing certain specific operations within iSilo?

The problem occurs when the program is started. If it's minimized and restored, it goes away.

I think the best way is to show you guys the actual images on my device.

As with other members with this problem, this happens when isilo is started from nothing. It happens again with the isilo's exit function / restart.

This is what it's like when it's started and document opened:

This is when a page is scrolled:

This is when I opened/closed the keyboard/transcriber input (to make it back to normal)

I too am having the same problem discussed and pictured above. I first noticed this problem when I forced iSilo to run in VGA mode (using a Tweak2K4 brute-force VGA hack) because in SE_VGA mode the text had a blurred appearance (likely secondary to pixel doubling). Once in forced VGA mode, iSilo's text appeared razor sharp (as in all VGA enabled apps) but the icon bar displayed on initial iSilo startup as pictured above. Simply opening the settings dialog and tapping OK, then hiding and redisplaying the bar would force it to display properly. As long as iSilo remained opened, the bar also showed properly when changing books but if you close and restart iSilo, the problem resurfaces.

Same screen bugs are happening on my hx4700. Sad, iSilo was the first application I purchased for my iPAQ (switched from palm to PPC). Any word on when a fix for this bug will be out?

As a HX4700 user I also have seen this, however I am not so sure that it is the software at fault as the same problem has sufaced in another product that I use( I am not sure if it is appropriate to mention the name).

That also has problems in SEVGA being blurred but VGA being fine.

The text is fine until it is highlighted and then is blurred, and will remain blurred even after highlighting has been removed until the screen is forced to rewrite by scrolling or similar. It appears to be a fault with how the system is dealing with the pixel doubling.

Any thoughts???

The problem with the toolbar extending past the menu command bar at the bottom was fixed as of version 4.25.

The issue on the x51v will be fixed in version 4.29, which is currently in beta. If you would like to try the fix, you can find it in the beta area (http://www.isilo.com/info/beta/index.htm).
