iSilo X is turning itself on and "converting" the same documents over and over again every 5 minutes.
I can't do any work on my computer b/c the iSilo window keeps popping up. and interfering with my typing on documents that I need to be working on  .
I've reset all the settings to: "Disable scheduled conversions" and deleted the normal scheduled conversions as well just to be extra sure.
Can anyone give me any advice on how to stop iSilo X from reconverting the same documents every 3 to 5 minutes or so?
Help! Please this is getting to be urgent.

have you gone into Scheduled Tasks within Windows and removed the tasks from there too?

oh, I don't have isilo for windows (pda stuff is already taking up a lot of space in my notebook computer's hard drive :p ) so there are no settings enabled on the windows side ~
Do I HAVE to download and install iSilo for windows in addition to iSilo X in order for scheduling to work properly?

No. You require iSilo for Windows only if you wish to read documents on your Windows machine or convert iSilo documents into text (sans formatting).
I am not sure what you mean by "no settings enabled on the windows side" since iSiloX has settings. Did you follow the advice of darkcompass and look into the "Scheduled Tasks" of Microsoft Windows? His advice may be a "sledgehammer" solution, but it should solve your problem. Perhaps the easiest way to accomplish this is to:
Open iSiloX for Windows
Choose the "Options..." option under the "Tools" menu.
Select the "Scheduling" tab
Select "Disable scheduling with Windows Task Scheduler"
(Note that I just discovered a new (to me) option under the "Scheduling" tab: "Hide progress dialog during scheduled conversion". Perhaps you can have your scheduled conversions and avoid the distractions...)

Sorry Voltage, didn't mean to hammer it. I have had isilox occasionally make multiple schedules within windows 2000, only way was to kill them all off and configure isilox again. It's probably me buggering about with it too much. :D

Sorry Voltage, didn't mean to hammer it.
I didn't intend the comment to have any negativity associated with it. I was simply referring to the fact that your solution is more of a last-resort-but-will-always-work thing. Of course, I'm an engineer so I sometimes have difficulty seeing the easy solutions. ;)
As for bugs in the iSiloX for Windows scheduling portions, I hadn't considered that. I don't use that product and am unfamiliar with it beyond its similarity to iSiloX for Mac OS X and the .ixl file format.
Smash away! :D
