Bullets not converting correctly

I have been a document creator with iSiloX for almost 6 years. All of that time I have had a problem with my docs that I create in MS Word that I save as HTML and then convert to iSilo. The problem I have is with bullets or special characters, like boxes. I have seen another thread that explains the process to create a list, but often these bullets and/or special characters that I use are not lists and are not indented. The bullet and/or box gets converted by iSiloX to a question mark (?). I have searched high and low many times for a solution to this, but I seem to always come up empty handed and then I get busy and just ignore it for many more months until I start looking again. Please help!

This post provides clarification to my previous post. The MS Word document source text that I use employs the following HTML code to display bullets:

"& # 9642" - This makes a square bullet
Here is the above code all scrunched together without the spaces and quotation marks: ▪


"& # 9633" - This makes a square bullet with a hollow center (basically a non shaded box).
Here is the above code all scrunched together without the spaces and quotation marks: □

The above codes display correctly (even in this message) but also in Word, IE and Firefox. But once iSiloX gets a hold of them, they turn to question marks.
