Hi everyone,
I don't know anything about the terminal and welcome the the GUI of iSiloX for Mac OSX. My only problem is that when I try to run the installer it gets almost to the end of the installation process and then stops and says that some files are missing.
Has anybody else experienced this problem and knows how to work around it?
Thanks

Try re-logging in to your system with administrator rights and then try reinstalling again.

Sorry for double posting - I'm new here - I have the same problem. I am the administrator and logged in as me and it still says some files are missing. What's wrong??

As it happens, nothing is wrong. iSiloX installed correctly and works fine. It seems the "error message" was an *error* - maybe the installer had a bug in it.

I don't have Administrator access. Will this error prevent me from properly installing/running iSilo X? Is there an estimation on when this error (or limitation) will be removed?
Repeating here what I just wrote on VersionTracker:
While logged in as an admin users the installer for 4.2.7 complains about permissions (again) on 10.2.4, even with a writable conduits folder. I haven't figured out what it's failing on and don't know yet if the installation was actually successful or not.
Note to developer: Please replace this several-year-old brain-damaged StuffIt InstallerMaker installer with one that actually works properly on OS X! Your software deserves better than this.
What makes this particularly annoying is there's no easy way to determine what's causing the problem because the installer doesn't provide information about files it's installing (or trying to).
The relatively simple installation of iSiloX could be made trouble-free (on properly maintained systems, which mine are). Heck, I'd be satisfied with a ZIP archive of the files that can be manually installed. Thanks.

I always have admin rights; I wish I was told what is "failing" with no permissions.
Please use VISC or Mac OS X packages. Or even a drag install.
And please tell us what we should expect to have installed and where...
I got:
iSiloX folder:
iSiloX.app:
Contents:
Info.plist
MacOSClassic:
iSiloX
PkgInfo
Resources:
iSiloX.icns
ixl.icns
iSiloX
license.txt
readme.txt
Library/Conduits:
iSiloI Conduit
is anything missing?

PowerPC, Mac OSX10.3.9.
Looks like we're stuck with the brain-dead iSiloX installer and a UI that's desperately begging for some TLC (http://www.acronymfinder.com/acronym.aspx?rec={955CAEEF-89E8-11D4-8351-00C04FC2C2BF}). Obvious and frustrating usability problems, like the lack of arrow/page key navigation, still haven't been fixed. :(
