I have a suggestion for the iSilo program, Hi-Res Version:
for all of not using the smooth scrolling, but PageDown ... Page Down ...

In case of the last PageDown pressed, the reading starts at the
1st line of the new screen, just as before (following all the previous
PageDowns), but surprise - surprise, the 1st new (non read) line
is somewhere in the middle of the new screen ...

I know, the last screen is full, correct, pretty, ... but one has to find the
last known line (word) of the previous screen (content) before
continuing the reading.
It was not a great problem at 160 x 160, but with a Hi-Res screen
it can be disturbing,

I do not classify this issue as a high prio one, maybe some of you
even find the used method better, but for me, I 'd like to have
at least an option to allow the last screen as "half"screen.

I apologize in adavance if this response doesn't apply to your question. I was not able to fully comprehend what you were asking...

Have you attempted to adjust the "Screen Up/Down Behavior" in "Options/Scroll..."? The current options are: "Full with text align", "Full screen", "90% of the screen", and "Half screen".

(I personally prefer the 90% option.)

Sorry, if the text was not quite understanable,
here is an example:

Let's say we have a document with a given font,
which shows up in 110 lines.
We have a screen-size of 20 lines.

The screens [1st-line - last-line] and PageDowns follow as:

-> Screen: [1-20]
<- PageDown
-> Screen: [21-40]
<- PageDown
-> Screen: [41-60]
<- PageDown
-> Screen: [61-80]
<- PageDown
-> Screen: [81-100]
<- PageDown
-> Screen: [91-110]
------------------------- and just here I wanted to read the line 101,
which is in the middle of the last screen,
instead of the 1st line of the actual screen,
where my eye was looking for ...

I would prefer
-> Screen: [101-110 + half a screen *empty*]

I think, the problem does not depend on the
option of 100% or 90% or half screen neither.
I personally prefer the 100%, *IF* it shows up exakt.

Ah, I see. Now that I understand, that would be a nice feature.

Note that something similar (i.e., a blank area) already happens when you search for a term near the end of the page. desdemona162 is really requesting that iSilo be consistent. :p
