I have several iSiloX documents configured to execute on a schedule daily. Is there a way to dynamically change the title a document so that a schedule will not overwrite the existing document, but create a new one.

The ability set the title to "text" + date where I could have

text2004-09-02.pdb
text2004-09-03.pdb
text2004-09-04.pdb

Another solution would be for schedule to append to the existing document if it already exists.

Although I agree it would be a nice feature, iSiloX does not currently offer this feature.

By the way, it has been requested before.

iSiloX/iSiloXC 4.15, which has just entered the beta1 test stage, adds a new feature called dynamic title components that allows you to do this. For iSiloX, see the manual for complete details in (Reference Manual/Documents Properties/Destination/Document Title). If you are using iSiloXC, see <Destination> (http://www.isilox.com/support/manual/ixl/ixlDestination.htm).

For your particular example, the title with dynamic title components would be: text\XdateY-M2-D2;

Thanks. This is an extremely useful feature. I really appreciate the great response.

I have been meaning to purchase iSilo for Windows. I'll have to do that soon.
