I use iSilo on both a Palm (Tungsten E) and PocketPC, with MMC card.

I just downloaded the latest for the Palm, and noticed the "Favorite Folders" feature.

You can not add additional Favorite Folders

You can not alter the path of existing Favorite Folders

On the PPC I have my documents under "\My Documents\iSilo" (which is where iSilo for the PPC put them, IIRC). When switching the MMC card from one device to the other I would like to be able to find these documents on the Palm without having to move them to a different folder.

Please add the ability to fully configure, and add, "favorites" folders.

To add a favorite folder for \My Documents\iSilo, do the following:

Go to the Device view and navigate to the \My Documents folder of your card.
Tap the folder icon to the left of the iSilo folder in the listing.
In the folder context menu, tap Favorite Folder Alias to get the Favorite Folder Alias dialog.
By default the alias name is the folder name. You will want to give the folder an alias other than iSilo, as that is one of the default favorite folder aliases set up to point to \Palm\Programs\iSilo.
Tap Add to add the new favorite folder.
To modify the path of an existing alias, do the following:

Navigate to the folder containing the new folder to which you want to assign to the alias.
Tap the folder icon to the left of the new folder in the listing.
In the folder context menu, tap Favorite Folder Alias to get the Favorite Folder Alias dialog.
Change the alias name to the name of the alias that you want to modify.
Tap Add.
You will be asked whether you want to replace the existing alias by the same name. Tap Yes.

Ok, this works, but seem kind of round-about. Especially how you change the path of an existing alias.

It would be convenient if, in addition to the methods you already provide, you could simply do an "Add" on the favorite folders editing form, and especially useful if you could actually modify the path of an existing entry.

However, if you really do not want to allow the modification of the path you should not provide an editable field (I know you have the note saying you can't do it, but the field _is_ enabled for editing).

Well, it works for me; I haven't found it difficult.

(after thinking a bit more)

Or, since the only functionality the "edit favorit folders" form offers now is to change the name, you could do away with the form entirely. You could change the name the similarly to the way you described as the way to change the folder of an existing named favorite. (See "To modify the path of an existing alias" in an earlier post by "iSilo")

To change the name you would browse to the location, click on the icon to the left of the folder. If it is already a favorite, the "new favorite" form would have the current name filled in, which could then be changed and saved.
