Hi there
Been using iSilo on my PDA to view the danish drug society's list of medications (www.medicin.dk). It has always been working fine (on my PDA w/windows mobile). Now I'm using it on HTC Magic.

When trying to do this on my android device the layout "creation" is really slow, an scroll funktion is very slow too... Have tried iSilo from a Factory reset, without any programmes to interfere with the interface.

Please try it your self (http://www.dli.dk/iphone) You need to download all 4 files (which links to each other in isilo). Try clicking and scrolling around especially in the praeparater.pdb (+8 mb) file...

I really hope that this "speed" issue will be fixed, since it's almost unuseable as is... unfortunenately...

Have to say that I'm using the "Trial version" to check out if it really worked - it didn't :(

Applications for Android are written using Java, which unfortunately makes some things many times slower. However, Google recently made available the ability to include native code, so we are working on adding native code to improve the speed.

Version 5.08, which was just released (http://forum.isilo.com/showthread.php?t=6010), has improvements in the speed.

Thank you very much. This update has improved the speed tremendously... It's now useable in my work... thank you... and thank you for the quick response on all our "support"-questions

2 questions:

1) When clicking the link in a document it seems as if the link does not always respond. Has there been put a "need-to-touch-link-before-loading" time or do I just have to learn how to press the links more perfectly :-)

2) Is it possible to make the scrolling more fluently (like the contacts app on android) where you can make the page scroll more or less depending on how fast you slide your finger on the screen?

Best regards

Just bought the full version after the "speed-fix"...
Hope that you'll answer the above questions... Regards

A lot of the speed issues have to do with the fact that the Android system is based on Java, which can have an effect on performance. That is the answer to both questions, but we are continually looking at what can be done to improve performance regardless.
