Downloaded iSilo version 4.x for Palm OS (tungstenE). It makes it to my quick install folder in the expansion card area. Hot sync message back reads "could not be installed to the secureDigital (SD) Card because there is no application on your handheld to open these files". The file is iSilo405PalmOSSetup.exe. Please help me get this to work.

You need to run iSilo405PalmOSSetup.exe on your Windows desktop computer. It queues iSilo for installation to your device.

Your PalmOS device only accepts two kind of files: .PRC and .PDB
When you install an application in your Palm, you install a PRC file. In this case, for iSilo you will install a file named: isilo.prc
After you install this file on your Palm, you can move it to the card with the native launcher, to a folder in your SD card (as /Palm/Launcher folder).
If you use iSiloX (on your PC) to create files, you will see that each document generated (converted) has a .PDB extension. You can install this PDB's on your card, in the /Palm/Programs/iSilo folder, also.

Samuel,
Thanks for input. According to your last paragraph, the transferred .pdb file I set to external card changed from origin destination. But how come isilo always install on both handheld and card. Two same files there!! If I suppose need only for card, how to set in property??

If I understand the situation, you have:
You have iSilo installed on the expansion card
You have iSiloX set to generate documents with a "Destination" of the expansion card
In this case, iSiloX installs documents in main memory. The iSilo conduit (in Windows), which is responsible for installing iSilo documents, attempts to invoke iSilo on your PDA. Unfortunately, Palm has a limitation such that the conduit cannot invoke programs installed on expansion cards.
The easy solution is to move iSilo back into main memory.
Of course, the other option is that you have the "Destination" set incorrectly. You mention that it installs on both the card and main memory, which imply you have two "Destination" entries. Make sure you are editing the entry for that document (e.g., double-click on the document title), and not the "Default Properties..." (in one of the menus).

danastos contacted me outside the forum. I am reposting his message in the hopes that it will help others.
Hi, I tried to get the answer to my problem on the forum but I don't think I got the answer I needed. I'm not very saavy with the technical jargon but, I ordered isilo for my palm tungstenE. It downloaded to my desktop with out a problem. It is when I try to hot sync to my handheld that I have the problem. The message I receive from the hot sync operation is "iSilo405PalmOSSetup.exe Error: The following file(s) could not be installed to the secureDigital (SD) Card because there is no application on your handheld to open these files." What program does the isilo application need to read it? Did the right application get downloaded to me? What should I do now? Please help, I have applications on my handheld that I can't read with out it. Thanks in advance
I apologize for my earlier response. I did not completely understand the problem.
If you are not using Microsoft Windows:
You have the wrong file. From the iSilo for Palm OS download page (http://isilo.com/download/iSiloPalmOS.htm), download the ZIP file instead. Expand the .zip file (usually by double-clicking on it), and look for the files "iSilo.prc" and "FontSiloLib.prc". Install those files in the same manner you were attempting to install "iSilo405PalmOSSetup.exe".
If you are using Microsoft Windows:
You cannot install the .exe file directly (as you appear to be doing). Double-click the .exe file and an iSilo window should open up. Keep hitting the enter key until the program closes. Your software will then install iSilo the next time you HotSync.
