Some observations.

I used the Isilox plugin in IE to capture a web page. It came down to the Palm and was in the [Uncategorized] folder as I expected on the categorized tab. I opened it there to view it and then came back later to the list and saw that it was gone. I couldn't find it anywhere except in the Device and Storage Cards, the Updated tab, and the Recently Opened tab. Shouldn't it still show in the Uncategoriezed folder since I have not categorized it?

Another Issue

In the old application I could delete a file from the device or cards using a file manager like FileZ or Zlauncher. This left a placeholder in the file list with a size of 0. I used this sometimes to keep a pointer available so that the next time I created a document it showed up in the proper category. I could delete them from the list if I desired. In the first version of 4.0 I noticed that these did not show. In the latest betas I see that these files show up with a strange file size of 0,:B and I cannot remove these from the list.
This seems to show up only in the Categories list. I can remove the category and then they are gone. Is this the expected behavior?

Thanks for the great product - I don't wan't to know how may hours I spend using it to read and refer to stuff.

If it is one of the 4.05 betas or prior versions, then one of the issues was that if you set the category as Unfiled, the document would actually be converted with the default category name Unfiled. That is a bug with the Clipper and was fixed by the release of version 4.05 of the Clipper. If you then start iSilo version 4.05 or later with that document in one of the standard locations, the auto-categorization method of iSilo would eventually get around to finding that file and place it in a category named "Unfiled". Note that a category named "Unfiled" is not the same as the [Uncategorized] listing, which is a listing of documents that do not belong to any categories. So see if you now have a category of Unfiled and whether the document is in there. But in any case, make sure that you have updated iSiloX to version 4.05 or later.

Is this the expected behavior? One of the changes in version 4.1 is that iSilo no longer by default checks the file type of a file in order to speed up the listing of documents on the card. So that would explain why the zero-byte files are showing up. You can re-enable the checking of file types for files on storage cards by going to the Options menu and tapping "Documents Types". In the "Document Type Options" dialog, you can then check "Use document type filtering". After tapping OK to accept the change, the document list will then filter files according to the "Document types to list" selections in the "Document Types" dialog. But note when you enable document type filtering, iSilo will then need to open each and every file it lists while filling the list, which results in a slower listing.

This issue has been investigated and there are a couple of fixes in the latest beta release of "iSilo for Palm OS", version 4.1 beta3b. Please give it a try to verify. Click beta (http://www.isilo.com/info/beta/) to go to the beta page.
