Version 1.3 will not let me access my password protected files. When I enter the password, iSilo responds by crashing. I was previously able to access these files with no problems on earlier versions, both on my iPod Touch and via Palm OS and WinCE devices. The files were created using iSiloX. These are patient medical records files and, by law, must be password-protected.
Can you offer me a suitable solution?

We will investigate the problem and get back to you on it. Most likely it is a bug introduced with the new file type support and so we would need to introduce a fix into the next update.

We have just submitted an update to Apple with the fix for the problem. The last update took four days for Apple to review, so if we are lucky, it will take about the same amount of time. If not, then it will probably take about a week for Apple's review. Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience.

How would I go about downgrading back to the previous version until Apple pushes out the update? I need access to my patient records and case histories.

Unless you somehow made a backup of your copy of the previous version, there is unfortunately not a way to go back to a previous version.

With v1.3 on iPhone, when I try to open an iSilo doc that requires a registration code, clicking Done after the Registration Code Message closes iSilo and doesn't allow one to register the document.
This is a big deal since users who've purchased commercial e-books with reg codes can't access them now. This thread mentioned problems with files that had passwords but I'm hoping the submitted fix also fixed the problem I'm seeing for documents requiring reg codes!

Yes, it is actually the same problem and thus also affects registration code entry. The update with the fix is in Apple's review queue, so unfortunately we just have to wait for Apple to make it available. Should be any day now.
Note though that it is not a problem for users who had already previously successfully entered their document registration code (e.g., with a previous version of iSilo) since the registration code is saved upon successful entry. Thus the problem only affects users who need to enter a registration code for a new document they have never opened.

Thanks for the quick reply. I've provided a temporary non-reg coded file until the update is available.
