That sounds an issue with your backup program. You may need to exit iSilo for the backup program to be able to perform its backup. I'd recommend that you contact the developers of the backup program and see what they have to say about the issue.

However, they claimed this is an iSilo related problem. Because iSilo open its temporary databases in exclusive read only mode, and prevent others from accessing it.

Could you update the way that iSilo operated with the temporary database?

iSilo is the best eBook reader comparing with others. I just don't want to close this application every time before I turn off my PDA to avoid the backup issue. :)

The database that is opened in exclusive mode is a temporary database used for caching that should neither be backed up nor restored, so BackupMan should really be skipping any such databases that it fails to open. The creator ID for the database is 'Silo' and the type ID is 'SilT'. Any temporary databases iSilo creates will have that creator ID and type ID, so if it is possible for the user to add exclusions to BackupMan, adding exclusions for that creator/type ID combination should address the issue also.
