Hello,

Are there any plans for a iSilo for the new T-Mobile G1 Android?

I know it is brand-new, but I use iSilo SO MUCH, I don't want to buy this new phone/platform until I know there is an iSilo version for it.

It is under consideration, but we do not have any specific plans yet.

I just wanted to put in my $0.02 about iSilo on Android for the new G1 phone.

However, I don't much about it, as I just heard about it.
As a s/w developer, I'm always interested in SDKs that makes development/deployment easier.

I'll reply back once I look more into Android.

Thanks,
xHh.

I would like to add my voice to the clamor for a port of iSilo to the Android platform. I use it daily for medical references on an antique PDA (PocketPC 2002!) and my decision on a new device will depend heavily on whether iSilo is available. ISilo remains indispensable and would be a welcome presence among Android apps that will probably lean toward toys. Many thanks.

Another request for an isilo version for the Android platform.
I've preordered the G1, and I'd hate to have to continue to carry my wm6 device just for isilo.

With the open source format of Android it should be the opposite of the "headache" of trying to work around Apple's "fineprint" and solutions (or lack thereof) to develop iSilo for the G1.

I am currently holding a twenty dollar bill in my hand patiently and eagerly waiting to send it to you in exchange for Isilo on android's G1. I just got the G1, yet the biggest reason I got it was for the ability to put Isilo on it for my reading of the Bible and other ministry. Isilo is the best and many of us would appreciate an android version. Please continue to care for your Isilo faithful!

I just bought a T-mobile G1. I like Google and Gmail, so that's why I jumped over from a Pocket PC / Windows Mobile phone. However, one of the most important applications on my Pocket PC is in fact iSilo. Until I can get it on my G1, I need to carry a Pocket PC around with me just to access the one important file I read in iSilo. So please! I can assure you there will be thousands of others that will want this! I also have a $20 bill in my hand waiting patiently.....

I have iSilo for the Palm OS, but I have replaced that with a G1. I will gladly pay for iSilo again if it's ported to the G1.

I see that in September you said things might possibly be happening with making iSilo available for the G1 in the future. Can we please have an update? Thanks.

Could you please elaborate a little more concerning future plans for the g1. Ex. How serious are discussions for android I silo. Also could you voice some of your hesitations so that we could have some insight into your thought process. I feel very much like we're being kept in the dark on this. Thanks in advance!

We are very interested in developing a version of iSilo for Android and so it is under research as mentioned. As for keeping things in the dark, we do not usually make announcements about times or definite plans until we are close to a beta, as many things can happen until that time and we do not want to make promises that we may not be able to keep.
