I see that the iSilo ebooks available on this site are alll free. Does that mean that they are older books that are now Public Domain, or did the company buy some sort of license to be able to give them away?

The only eBook we have made directly available from our site is The World Factbook by the CIA, a publication which is placed into the public domain by the CIA.
There may be links to other sites, but those other sites are maintained by third parties not directly affiliated with this site.
Which eBooks are you referring to and what is the URL?
