How To: Read Offline?

I've been fed up with Avantgo of late and removed it from my Zire71. I was wondering if someone could point me to a url which has a step by step process (for "dummies", please) on how to capture web pages and read them off-line. I've tried this in the past and have found it cumbersome. The result was

a. that it took way too long to download the webpages (I have a regular dialup)
b. pages took up too much space
c. the pages were not automatically resized to fit the screen

I've been reading recently about the advantages of iSilo as an off-line news/webpage reader and would like to know how this is done.
