I have a lot of files to transfer to my phone, far more than the 30 MB Yahoo gives you, some of which are larger than Yahoo's file limit size. Does anyone know of a better service or process to get these files moved? Google doc doesn't support .prc or .pdb

Hey,

I recommend using www.mediafire.com it has a limit of 100mb per account. I just created a few accounts to handle different kinds of files.

Also, if you have a website of your own you can upload them there then link to them. If you don't you could talk to a friend that may have one available to you.

Hope this helps.

Ok, so Yahoo is terrible and some of the Mac OS X's have a bug that prevents web sharing. Way to screw the pooch iSilo and not follow through with making your product actually functional.

Slow down! It is an Apple issue not something the iSilo folks did! Apple requires iSilo to stick to the iPhone way. If this bothers you complain to Apple that you should be able to load files using iTunes!

So has anyone tried A Drive <http://www.adrive.com/> yet? I don't have an iPhone so I don't know if their Java downloader tool works with the iPhone. If it does they don't have a 100mb limit.

If you have wifi, you may consider setup a simple web server on your pc and let your isilo download from it. Much faster...

Hello All,

Look at this forum it seems to offer the simplest way for windows users to get files on your iPhone and it doesn't require you to upload anything to a remote location which saves time.

If you need further help let me know.

How many of you have the first gen iPhone and how many are on the 3G one?

Also how many have theirs Jailbroken?

Just curious as there are other solutions that once done is very quick.

I've been trying to see if there is a way to save email attachments to a specific folder but I think there isn't :(

Sure there are many alternative but I believe we shouldn't mention here :D

Official solution:
yahoo -- deadly slow
personal web + wifi -- acceptable

Unoffical solution:
work great!!

Well it is only a matter of Apple warranty and policy really it's not like it's instructions on how to make explosives LOL :)

Though I don't think iSilo wants to see detailed instructions on how such alternative solutions could be done on here, since using such alternative solutions actually makes the iSilo more attractive as a product I think iSilo has a balanced view of the subject! :)

I too used the "direct" unofficial solution and it worked just fine. Just trying to see what options there could be for people not jailbreaking their phones to actually make this more painless.
