Does the links between documents feature work in this version for iphone/ipod? I have some isilo documents with links to each other, but when I click on the link, the app crashes?

Yes, external document linking actually should work, even though the readme says otherwise. But apparently based on what you have reported, there may be issues.
Would you be able to email the documents you are using so that we can reproduce the problem to determine the cause? If you can email them and the document set is not larger than several MB, then please email them to http://www.iSilo.com/img/email.jpg and let us know the path of links to click to get to the link for the external document.

I sent the files with the steps to take to see the crash. I emailed them to the specified email above in the previous post with my gmail account.

Most documents are formatted for other devices that use a stylus. I have downloaded the app and installed a "book" with a lot of hyperlinks, however, the hyperlinks are so tiny that I can't hit them with my finger. If I change the font to get a larger link, then the font is too big for practical reading.
I would suggest that iSilo app emulate the native zoom techniques of the iPhone (pinch and spread...) so that links can be hit more precisely. After the link is made the new (linked) screen should come up in the original size rather than the zoomed size.
I am glad to have this app on my iPhone, but cannot yet throw away my PDA due to accessibility (by finger-tip) issues in the new environment.

Some other user reported a crash when attempting to download a file (http://forum.isilo.com/showthread.php?t=4689) and after resetting the device, the crash no longer happened. That sounds like it might be some issue with the device not directly related to iSilo.
Can you try turning your device off and then turning it back on? To turn the device off, hold down the Sleep/Wake button at the top of the device until you see the slider that says "slide to power off". Use the slider to power off the device. After the devices completely powers off, hold down the Sleep/Wake button until the device starts to power on. After the home screen comes back on, start iSilo and try the external link again and let us know whether you still see the crash.

Do the documents have to be in the same folder or directory? I had them in the same directory, but it was the top/ directory. Is this were you had them?

Have you tried a Fingertip stylus?
Examples below are NOT recommendations!!! I don't know either merchant
nor have I had any dealings with them.

Is this were you had them? The files have to be in the same directory if that's the way the publisher set them up, so it depends. We had them all in the Downloads directory when we first tried it. After this latest message from you, we then tried it with all the files in the top directory and we reproduced the crash, so we'll look into it in more detail.

You can NOT use anything but your finger on the iPhones! :)
It will not react if something "else" touches the screen, it is not a touchscreen in your traditional fashion.

I have found that in SOME documents I use with iSilo, the hyperlink is somewhat off to the side and not dead center where it should be graphically where and when this happens its true for both LANDSCAPE and PORTRAIT mode, I am sure iSilo will correct this over time, but it appears to be somewhat consistent within that same document so if you are aware of it, it's fairly easy to live with for now!

we reproduced the crash, so we'll look into it in more detail. We have worked out a fix for the external linking issue where a crash results when following an external link in documents that are placed in the root/top of the documents directory. The fix will go into the update we plan to submit to Apple later today.

I am having problems with hyperlinks that direct me to an external document.
I have the hyperlinked documents in the same folder. My phone does not crash when I tap the hyperlink, it just pulls up an error message that says "The External Document [.....] could not be found."
Please help.

They are in a folder I created and named. I downloaded the files directly into this folder.
Thanks.

File names on iPhone OS are case-sensitive. Check to make sure the file name matches exactly.

Please elaborate if you wouldn't mind...
Thanks.

Scratch that statement about case-sensitivity. It does not seem to be true.

Are you sure the external file is present and has the path and name given in the error message?

Thanks!!! I understand what I needed to do...
I really appreciate all of you guys at iSilo...
If you wouldn't mind, I have another issue posted in the forum... I will copy and paste it below:
TROUBLE WITH SEARCHING
I am unable to perform an "entire document" search through a songbook. The songbook has a home page that does not contain any hyperlinks (or Table of Contents) to take you to the different songs. Therefore in order to access the songs, you have to perform a search and enter the song number or a phrase within the particular song. So I hit the gear at the top left of the "Search" screen, set the "Entire Document" option to "ON", and type in a song number or phrase. It then always immediately returns the message "No more matches for "...."". It doesn't even pull up the search progress bar, just immediately spits out the message.
The weird thing is that if I tap close to the bottom or the top of the screen THREE TIMES it will actually start scrolling through the songs one by one. It jumps back one song if I tap near the top of the screen three times and jumps forward one song if I tap near the bottom. Therefore I know that the content of the document is fully there. However, there are close to 1300 songs in this book so this is method not adequate .
In addition to this, in read view it seems that numbers to the stanzas of the songs, which are on the left of the document page, have been cut off.

I do not know about the case-sensitivity issue. However, I had arranged my files in the folder contrary to the lexicographical arrangement by inserting "1.)", "2.)" ... etc. Now that I removed the 1.)s and 2.)s it works like a charm. :)
Basically what I am trying to say is that the file name as I had renamed it in my folder was different from the file name trying to be accessed as an external document hyperlink. Hope this is clear enough.
