Hi isilo experts,

I'm relatively new at this. Just got a blackberry curve 8330 and bought isilo so that I could read some medical programs. They are currently all stored on my 2 GB SD card.

I've read some other comments that isilo can be very slow to access things when reading documents from external memory cards....here's something from the knowledge base too: http://www.isilo.com/support/kb/kb030102.htm

So in order to get around this - how do I move a document from my external memory card to the internal memory on my blackberry? I'm totally confused as to how to do this, and the slowness is making this medical software practically useless!!

Thx for any thoughts,
Steve

The knowledge base article you refer to actually does not apply to BlackBerry devices. On BlackBerry devices, document files can only be stored on a memory card.

Applications on BlackBerry devices are written in Java, a system which can make applications run many times slower than applications written natively for a device. It is not possible to write a native application for BlackBerry devices. As such, if you have used iSilo on any other platform, then iSilo on BlackBerry will seem much slower.

You can try a couple of the other layout options to see whether it helps your situation. While viewing a document, go to the menu and navigate to Edit/Options/Display/Layout. Change the Layout setting to "Disable Table Layout" and see whether it helps improve the speed. If not, then try the "Disable All Layout" option. If neither or those work, then that is the best that you can do to improve the speed.
