Polish characters, how to?

Hello

I want to buy iSilo viewer for pdb files, but before that
I have to be sure that all my documents can be properly opened
with correctly displayed polish characters.

My device is Ipaq 316 on Windows CE system.
What can i do to make the reader displayed polish signs?

If you are converting your own documents with iSiloX, try setting the output encoding to UTF-8 (Properties/Document/Text Encoding Options).

Unfortunately I have to write that it didn't work.
I did what you wrote to me in IsolX program, converting the file to utf-8 file.

However, what is strange to me is that on my PC in Isilo application
document information option displays "windows-1250" encoding, however
I set utf-8 in isiloX previously.

Anyway polish characters are still being displayed incorrectly.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

That would be strange indeed that it says "Windows-1250" and not "UTF-8". Either you are not opening the newly converted file or you did not set the destination encoding for the entry in iSiloX to UTF-8 and/or reconvert. Double-check everything.

That link gives an iSilo .pdb document file already that was converted with the Windows-1250 target encoding. It is not possible to reconvert an iSilo .pdb file. You would need the original source HTML.

Ok, finally I managed to get polish characters, but there is another problem ... :D:D

I bought serial to register the application, but ... there is no way I could enter it ... cause neither I have keyboard nor I can copy&paste this code ... (hp ipaq 316)

Is there a way I could register app? For instance register on my pc and then copy to device, etc?

The only way to register is on the device.

The iPAQ 316 was not originally designed for users to install third party programs, so the best I suggest is that you search for a keyboard hack.

Yes You are right, this device is not appropriate to install 3rd party applications, but unfortunately I haven't bought it and I have to use it to install this app.

Well, there will be really a huge problem to enter these signs, cause I am only equiped with the mouse cursor ... no more ..

Could you for instance, add couple of code lines to read serial code from the file while entering to registration window? For you it would be 1, no more than 2 line of code to load the file, for me it would solve my nightmare ...

I have ISilo version: iSilo503HPCSetup.exe

Please take into consideration adding this functionality, because there is really no way I could register it with the code I bought from you.

No, unfortunately we would not be able to have a keyboard workaround implemented by Friday. Our schedule is packed, so at the minimum, it would take a few weeks before we could begin to work on a workaround.

I have been sitting for about 4 hours trying to find different applications, hints, solutions without any result

I connected with the device through Remote Desktop, but what is strange for me I wasn't able to send keyboard letters, however i could see device desktop on my pc screen.

Anyway today (Friday) is last day. Pleaseeee help me or just go away and give me a refund. :(

I am aware that it is unusual situation, but you could do something to help me solve it.
