Hello,
I was using ISiloX since a few time and all worked fine. Then (I think it's because I accidentally launched two occurences of ISiloX), when I try to launch the program, I get an error message which says "Instruction at 0x0041287d" uses memory address "0x00000004". Memory cannot be "read". Click OK to close the program. Click Cancel to debug the program. Cancel will propose me to launch Microsoft Visual Basic .net which I have installed on my computer. I'm using ISiloX v. 4.0.1 and Microsoft Windows 2000.

Anyone can help me ? Thanks in advance.

A small precision : I tried to desinstall-reinstall IsiloX, and it didn't worked. I also tried the beta version 4.0.5 RC 1 and it didn't changed anything, apart from a message at program startup telling me when the beta version will stop to function.

Thanks in advance for your help,
Antoine

There should be no problem with running two instances of iSiloX simultaneously.

Most likely your copy is corrupted. When uninstalling, make sure that all instances of iSiloX are closed, including iSiloX Clipper. To ensure that iSiloX Clipper is not active, close down all instances of Internet Explorer. You should also check your Control Panel/Scheduled Tasks and delete any iSiloX scheduled tasks.

I closed all Window programms I could, then desinstalled IsiloX and reinstalled it (I tried with and without the Isilo Clipper). The error message still appears. Could this problem come from low available disk space ? My system disk only has 5 Mbytes left, and while I run ISiloX, it seems the space decreases until disk is full, and then the error message appears. I'm going to free some disk space, and I'll retry.

Thanks for your help,
Antoine

I deleted my temporary files. I now have 23 Mbytes of free disk space, and IsiloX works well (6,5 Mbytes of free space when he's launched). Anyway, this problem was interesting : I didn't know such an error could occur because of the lack of free space on my system disk. This should help me resolve problems I had with another software (Morrowind TES), where the same message appeared...

In any case, IsiloX works well now. Thanks for your support.

It is actually recommended that you have 100MB or more of free space. Depending on the complexity and size of the documents you are converting, more or less may be required.
