Purchased wrong Registration Code

I Have an AT&T 8525 windows mobile 5.0 phone and have a registration key for Windows mobile Smartphone. I believe I installed the proper version on the phone because it works in trial mode but when I try to register it keeps telling me I have the wrong code. The iSilo version on the phone is 5.x and the code is 5.x. Is there a way to get the proper code without buying it again? Would the device tell me if I had loaded smartphone instead of Pocket PC? The phone has a touchscreen.
