Hi all,

I really need some help. I am on a Palm IIIx, and I have iSilo on it. I have synched a bunch of .pdb files, but I cannot for the life of me figure out how to see them in iSilo. Now, I am on the trial version, but I thought I should be able to see something.

So, help!

Thanks!

If the .pdb files are iSilo readable documents (e.g., in either iSilo or Palm Doc format), then they should appear in iSilo's document list view. Do you know what format the documents are in? What version of iSilo are you using?

I am using version 4.0.1. The files should be iSilo readable. The problem is I cannot really even figure out where to look to see if they are there. When the product comes up, the tab says iSilo Manual. Am I even in the software?

How do I know if the file is iSilo readable? I am pretty sure it must be since the person who gave me the file told me to use iSilo.

Yes, you are in the software. If it truly is a tab (across the top of the screen), then you are in the "read view" as described by the iSilo manual. Otherwise, you are probably in the "document list view". To exit the "read view" and enter the "document list view", tap the close button (it looks like an "X") at the bottom-left corner of the screen.

Note that the iSilo Manual is located at this location (http://isilo.com/support/manual/iSilo/iSiloManual.htm). If you don't need a portable copy of the manual, then you can delete this document.

You can check this information outside of iSilo using a number of programs. I tend to use the free program FileZ (http://www.freewarepalm.com/utilities/filez.shtml). After opening FileZ, I can tap "View and Edit Files" and locate the file in question. After tapping the name of the file and then hitting the "Details" button, the program presents various bits of meta-information concerning the entry. iSilo files have a "Type" of "SDoc" and a "Creator" of "SilX".

Ok, so I sat pushing the X in the lower left corner, but it does nothing. I honestly do not think I installed this correctly. Ok, I am going to try again now.

I downloaded a new zip file. I ran the program, and it is on my Palm, but there is no way our of View mode, the X does nothing, and I cannot get my documents to view. So, any basic baby steps would be very appreciated!

Your screen digitizer may need alignment. Try aligning it by going to the Palm application launcher, tapping Prefs, then in the Prefs application select Digitizer from the upper right popup list.

No, there is nothing wrong with the digitizer. I do it like every week. I even did it again now, and the little X does not do anything.

I am getting really dejected with this product. Can anyone help?
