I couldn't find the original thread about this, but the issue was that iSilo caused unusually high battery drain on HHE-powered Clies.

Someone brought it up in passing on 1src.com, so I thought I'd check here - Was this issue ever fixed?

I know it still happens in the last version I installed (v4.29), but I never updated beyond that because iSilo was starting to get overly large with no tangible benefit. (If you guys can make the prc smaller, I'll upgrade to v5! :D)

At the moment, most TH55 and UX50 users workaround it using UnderclockerDA to drop the CPU to 32MHz (In fact, my TH55 is almost always running at 32MHz ;)), but it would be nice if this problem was solved...

The battery drains at the same speed as an app that runs the CPU at high loads, and is most noticable when using auto-scroll.
This is contrasted with, say, sitting at the Launcher screen or reading through Memos, where the battery will stay at the same level for hours.

If the document does not use tables, then you can try disabling table layout through Options menu/Display/Layout/Disable table layout.

Ah, okay. I will set that as the default and see how things go. Will report back with findings later...

At first, disabling the table layout didn't seem to do anything, but I have noticed that the draining effect doesn't seem so bad; Will continue to monitor.
