New Tool to "Move" Annotations

To me the biggest drawback of annotations at the moment is that if the document is modified in any way the annotations no longer line up with the text. This is very frustrating when you want to improve a document, but basically have to throw away perhaps hours of study/annotations in the process.

If there was a simple tool that allowed you to "move" annotations this would help. Basically if I modify page 5 in a document and add 10 characters then I want to select all annotations from page 6 onwards and move them 10 characters along.

Is this possible to create?

I would pay for such a tool...

I agree, I have often had to discard annotation files for that exact same reason.

I would not hesitate to purchase a tool that could convert/upgrade annotation files to be compatible with new versions of documents.
